The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 registration process has officially started. IIT Guwahati, the organizing institute this year, has activated the online application form at the official website – gate2026.iitg.ac.in.
Engineering graduates who wish to pursue postgraduate programs (M.Tech/PhD) or apply for PSU jobs through GATE score must complete their registration before the deadline.

- Application Start Date – August 30, 2025
- Last Date to Apply (Without Late Fee) – September 30, 2025
- Extended Deadline (With Late Fee) – October 7, 2025
- Admit Card Release – January 3, 2026
- Exam Dates – February 7, 8, 14 & 15, 2026
- Result Declaration – March 16, 2026

- Visit the official website – gate2026.iitg.ac.in
- Click on “Register” and create an account using email ID and mobile number
- Login with your credentials and fill in the application form
- Upload scanned documents – photograph, signature, and required certificates
- Select your preferred exam papers and test cities
- Pay the application fee online and submit
- Download and save the application form for future reference

- For Female / SC / ST / PwD Candidates – ₹900 (regular), ₹1,400 (late fee)
- For Other Candidates – ₹1,800 (regular), ₹2,300 (late fee)
